Victor Nirennold moved to the Fylde coast after being offered a two-year deal with Fleetwood Town in August 2015.
The six-foot-four defender started his career in his homeland, France, as he played in the youth system at Stade Rennais.
Whilst in France, Nirennold was offered a deal in the United States where he would study Business at Erskine College, as well as play for the college’s side, the Erskine Flying Fleet.
The defensive minded player then transferred to Nova Southeastern University and was placed in their side, the Nova Southeastern Sharks. At the start of the 2015 Season, Nirennold signed for Premier Development side FC Miami City and made 15 appearances for them in is only season there.
He then signed a two-year deal with Town later that year, after having a successful trial spell in August 2015. He made his debut for the Cod Army the next month in a 1-1 draw against Rochdale at Highbury Stadium. He had to wait for his first goal but it was an important one as he scored the equaliser against Northampton Town in the opening game of the 2016/17 season.
