Left-footed defender Josh Earl joined the Cods’ ranks in the summer of 2022 after signing a two-year deal from Sky Bet Championship side Preston North End, with the Club holding an option for a further year.
Earl, who stands at six-foot-four, initially joined the Lilywhites at the age of nine and worked his way through the academy and featured 67 times in the Sky Bet Championship for the first team, with 29 of those games coming in the 2021/22 season.
The Southport-born 23-year-old brought experience at Sky Bet League One level to Highbury when he signed on the dotted line as he has featured for Bolton Wanderers, Ipswich Town, and Burton Albion during loan spells from North End.
Since arriving at Fleetwood, he has been an ever-present in the back line, playing in centre-back and full-back roles of the left-hand side of the defence, and has become a fans’ favourite for those who turn up to support the Cods week in, week out at Highbury.
