Joe Maguire signed for Fleetwood Town permanently from Premier League side Liverpool in January 2017.
The 20-year-old, who primarily plays at left-back, had been at the Reds since the age of nine, working his way through their academy.
In August 2014, Maguire joined Leyton Orient on a one-month loan deal and made his debut on 1 September in a 2-1 loss to Luton Town in the Football League Trophy.
Due to his consistent performances in both the under-18 and under-21 sides, the defender was included in Liverpool’s pre-season tour for the 2015/16 season, where he made his debut for the Premier League side in a 4-0 win over the Thailand Premier XI.
This performance would land him his first competitive appearance for the side as on 8 January 2016, Maguire was named as a substitute for the sides third round match in the FA Cup against Exeter City, when he was brought on in the 76th minute in the 2-2 draw.
The young wing-back joined Fleetwood Town on 13 January 2017 on a two-and-a-half-year deal, as a pursuit for first-team football. In the 2016/17 season, he made three appearances in the league, and two in cup competitions.
