Leeds-born defender Harrison Holgate has worked his way through the ranks at Town, from Under-18s level to the first team squad, and signed his first professional contract for the Club in May 2018.
Holgate started his career in the youth setups at both Premier League giants Manchester United and Middlesbrough before initially signing for the Cods as a 16-year-old on a two-year scholarship. Not long after signing on, he was sent out on youth loans to Stalybridge Celtic, Stafford Rangers, and Ashton United, where he made 26 first-team appearances, scoring one goal in that time.
After impressing whilst on loan, and in training, he was called up to the Fleetwood first-team for the first time in November 2018 and was an unused sub in the side’s EFL Trophy clash against Bury. He would have to wait until September the next year to make his debut, which came against Liverpool Under-21s in the same competition at Highbury.
The defender then made his full league debut for Town in October 2019 as he played the full 90 minutes in the 4-1 win over Hull City at home and has since featured more than 30 times for the first-team in all competitions.
