A tireless striker with an eye for goal, David Ball has become an important part of the first team squad at Highbury.

Ball arrived in Lancashire from now League One rivals Peterborough United in July 2012 after starting life in the North West at Premier League giants Manchester City.

Ball got his first taste of senior football in August 2010 when he signed for League One outfit Swindon Town on a six-month loan.

After his loan deal expired at the County Ground, Ball joined Peterborough United on deadline day in January 2011. A temporary spell in the North West followed at Rochdale in 2012 before Ball moved to Highbury in search of first team football at Fleetwood ahead of the Cod Army’s first season in the Football League.

He has made over 100 appearances for the Club and won the Man of the Match award at Wembley in the League Two Play-Off final victory over Burton Albion. He agreed a new two-year contact in August 2015.

Ball was nominated for the FIFA Puskas Award for the best goal in world football, after a stunning chip against Preston North End. One to check out on the club's YouTube channel!
