27 May 2024

With new teams to come to Highbury and new sets of fans, we have put together a guide for away fans on this bank holiday to read and to take into consideration as we count down the days to the opening day.

With sides who aren't travelling too far but also sides that are travelling from all through Britain, we have put together a guide for travel and on how to get to and from Highbury Stadium in the 2024/25 Sky Bet League Two campaign on match-days as on this bank holiday we're missing our football fix.

Travel

With handy transport links from Blackpool train stations (North and South) and Poulton-Le-Fylde station, it isn't difficult getting to Highbury Stadium if you're not familiar with Fleetwood or surrounding areas.

Efficient tram links that run from Blackpool to Fleetwood every twenty minutes and if you get off at the 'Stanley Road' stop in Fleetwood you are only a stones throw away from the stadium.

From Blackpool North train station, the number 14 and number one buses run north to Fleetwood every ten to twenty minutes - the journey varies from 20 to 40 minutes bus dependant.

Away fans supporters coaches get dropped off on Hatfield avenue outside the away fans' entrance to the stadium, coaches then return to the drop-off zone at full-time and leave from the designated drop-off zone.

For cars and bikes using Google maps, android maps or other electronic navigation systems or devices: Fleetwood Town Football Club, Highbury Stadium, Park Avenue, Fleetwood, Lancashire, FY7 6TX

Entertainment

With local pubs around Fleetwood which welcome away fans such as the Strawberry Gardens as well as Jims Bar on site situated on the corner of the Highbury Stand and the memorial stand welcomes away fans on certain match days.

Hospitality options are also available but you would have to contact the club itself to enquire.

Local businesses such as the Highbury chippy and other local businesses always appreciate the new custom.

We look forward to hosting many new faces and teams to the Fylde Coast and we hope you have a pleasant experience with us.
