Fans-favourite midfielder Brendan Wiredu went out into the community this week to take part in a Black Voices Matter workshop, in partnership with Premier League Primary Stars, at a local primary school.
The player surprised the children at the school over Wyre when he poked his head through the door to join in their session, which helped teach them the importance of equality in sport, as they discussed ways in which we can make sure everyone can feel included and part of something.
After chatting with the students and teachers present, Brendan then took part in a question-and-answer session where he discussed his sporting opportunities as a kid, the pathway he took to get into professional football, and how he got to where he is today.
Everyone seemed to love the visit, and all took something away from the talk at the end – well done everyone!
