It was a busy week for the Academy at Poolfoot Farm last time out as the Under-9s to Under-15s all took part in tournaments and friendlies at the training complex.
To start off, the Under-9s to Under-12s took part in a tournament against local grassroots teams in the area in an attempt to further boost the relationship between the club and those sides and it seemed like everyone had fun throughout.
Moving up to older age groups, the Under-13s and Under-14s hosted Waterford FC on the elite pitches for some friendlies with other teams like Premier League sides Newcastle United and Burnley, as well as the likes of Carlisle United and Port Vale also present.
Finally, the Under-15s played Waterford FC at the training ground, with the young group also getting some training sessions from Academy coaches Ash Moreau, Sam Staunton-Turner, Danny Hastings, and Cod Army legend Nathan Pond.
