Fleetwood Town would like to remind supporters of the dangers of the use of smoke bombs inside Highbury Stadium and inform them of the introduction of specially trained sniffer dogs in place to prevent them entering the ground on matchdays.

Fleetwood Town prides ourselves on being a community club, with passionate supporters, and an ethos of being welcoming to all ages. Jim’s bar is renowned throughout the Football League as a great place for fans to mix and enjoy the atmosphere together, which is something the club and town should be rightly proud of.

However, in recent weeks we have had issues with smoke bombs being used which have, to date, resulted in a young fan needing medical treatment, damage to clothing, and have seen the club being threatened with fines from the Football Association if this continues.

We are committed to providing a great atmosphere but would ask that you do not bring smoke bombs, or any pyrotechnics into the stadium. You will see increased checks on entering the stadium as we look to keep everyone safe. Anyone identified as bringing pyrotechnics into the ground can expect a club ban from attending games at Highbury.
