Fleetwood Town’s Former Players Association were back on-site on Thursday afternoon as they met up once again for their monthly catchup at Poolfoot Farm, with almost 50 members in attendance!
As all the meetings start, FPA Chairman Stuart Murdoch and FPA Secretary Phil Brown began the meeting with their opening remarks, listing the upcoming birthdays of the members, apologies from those who couldn’t make the meeting, and some other general news regarding changes at the club.
The big feature of the meeting this time was two members of the Cod Army were in attendance, Graham Holmes and Brian Houten, who sat down and looked back over the last 50 years they have followed Fleetwood and rehashed some comical stories based around those who were at the meeting.
Not only that, but we had the return of Kevin Byrne as the quizmaster and he was so happy to take charge of the group once again. This time, it was Colin Monks who prepared the Lancashire-based questionnaire and it seemed to go down great with everyone who turned up on the day.
The FPA would like to thank everyone who attended the meeting - we are looking forward to seeing you all at Poolfoot Farm once again on Thursday 6 April 2023 at 10am.
