Pupils from local school Great Arley visited Poolfoot Farm on Monday morning to take part in a 5-a-side football tournament to celebrate Disability Awareness Day.
The captain surprised the students at the Thornton-based school in the assembly hall last week during one of the Community Trust’s regular sessions there and the kids looked thrilled to see him!
To help celebrate the visit, and to continue the partnership with the school, the students were invited down to Poolfoot Farm as part of Disability Awareness Day, and with 45 children showing up for the event, it was great to see so many with smiles on their faces as they took the pitches.
On Monday, the 45 children took part in a round-robin football tournament at Poolfoot Farm in association with showcasing awareness for the Disability Awarness Day, and as a club, we'd like to thank all those from Great Arley who attended and we can't wait to see you all at a game next season down at Highbury!
