Fleetwood Town can confirm that goalkeeper Alex Cairns has joined Sky Bet League Two side Salford City on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old joined Town back in the summer of 2016 on a free transfer and has since gone on to make 240 appearances in all competitions for the Cod Army, with 209 of those being in the EFL.
Cairns is the club's highest appearance maker in the football league and will help give much-needed experience to Salford in the final five months of the 2022/23 season.
The Doncaster-born goalkeeper - who earlier in the campaign joined Hartlepool United on an emergency loan - has today agreed to join the Ammies until the summer and will help aid them in their pursuit for promotion out of League Two.
Good luck at the Peninsula Stadium, Cairnsy!
