Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of Jack Marriott for a substantial undisclosed fee from Sky Bet League One side Peterborough United on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Marriott, who has scored more than 100 goals in his career, brings vast experience from the Championship and League One and is a statement of intent from chairman Andy Pilley as Town bolster their front line.

The 28-year-old is a proven goal scorer, not only at League One level, but he has also found the back of the net more than 20 times in the league above - three of those coming in the Championship play-offs for Derby County.

Head coach Scott Brown said on the signing: "Jack's has been a proven goal scorer at this level, and the one above, for some years now. He's someone who we have kept an eye on and monitored for the last few months and we are delighted to finally have him signed on and with the squad."

Beverley-born Marriott will wear the number 14 at the club and will be eligible for Fleetwood Town’s next League One clash against Burton Albion on Saturday.
