Fleetwood Town forward Chris Conn-Clarke bagged another goal for National League side Altrincham in their 2-2 draw away at FC Halifax Town.
In what was a tight affair at The Shay, it was former Cod, Elliott Osbourne who opened the scoring for Alty in their match in West Yorkshire. The visitors created many chances throughout the first half, with Conn-Clarke being at the front majority of the attacks.
The 21-year-old saw FC Halifax draw level with just 20 minutes left on the clock, but the Northern Ireland man thought he had won it for the Robins with a stunning free-kick 6 minutes from full-time.
It wasn't to be a New Years Day win for Altrincham as Jordan Slew scored minutes later to salvage a point for the hosts. They [Alty] could have knicked it right at the death, but it was a point each to start off the New Year.
That goal for Conn-Clarke sees him on seven goals for the season in all competitions.
Keep up the good work, Crickey!
