11 December 2023

There’s lots going on across the club this week, including a total of three games across our Men’s and Academy teams so here's a calendar of events taking place.

Here is everything you can expect on fleetwoodtownfc.com over the coming week:

TUESDAY

11am – Fleetwood Town Under-18s v Wigan Athletic Under-18s

Our Under-18s are set to host Wigan Athletic at the Club’s training complex, Poolfoot Farm in a Professional Development League Cup match. The FA Youth Cup match on Sunday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch meaning the game will be rescheduled before the Christmas break.

Key updates from the game will be shared across the Academy social channels, starting with team news at 10am, regular posts from kick-off, and a post-match report on our website as soon as possible.

The gaffer will face the media with his pre-Peterborough United thoughts, alongside a player, and these interviews will be posted on the website and social channels later that day – clips will be posted to social media after the preview ahead of the Sky Bet League One clash at Highbury Stadium.

SATURDAY

11am - Crewe Alexandra Under-18s v Fleetwood Town Under-18s

Mark Yeates' side make the trip down the M6 to Crewe on Saturday for a Professional Development League match, and will have the chance to get themsevles ready ahead of the rearranged FA Youth Cup tie against Premier League giants, Liverpool at Highbury Stadium. This match has to be played before Christmas, with a time and date to be confirmed in due course.

The Under-18s haven't played a league match since Saturday 11 November, when they lost 2-1 at home to Birmingham City. This will be a chance for the Young Cods to get some points on the board as they currently sit 9th in the league standings on 9 points, with Crewe in 7th on 16 points having played four more games than Town.

3pm – Fleetwood Town v Peterborough United

Fleetwood Town are back on home soil this weekend after four games on the road and will take on high-flying Peterborough United at Highbury in a Sky Bet League One clash.

The match against the Posh will kick-off at 3pm on Saturday 16 December, with tickets available to buy ONLINE, and down at the Ticket Office at the stadium.

With Town being on the road for their last four matches (Wigan, Cambridge, Derby and Northampton), Saturday will be the perfect chance for you, your family and friends to get together and cheer on the red and white army from the stands.

This will also be Fleetwood Town's last home match before Christmas, with a trip to Portsmouth the following weekend before it's back to Highbury on Boxing Day.

Key updates from the game will be shared across the main social channels, starting with team news at 2pm, regular posts from kick-off, and a post-match report on our website as soon as possible.
