All three of Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies teams were in action over the weekend, and we have all results and details you need to know for each team from their respective fixtures.

FC United of Manchester 5-1 Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies First Team

The First Team were on the road on Sunday as they travelled to take on recently crowned League Champions, FC United of Manchester at Broadhurst Park. The ladies gave their absolute all throughout the 90 minutes, and the management team stated they couldn't fault the performance and effort from every single one of the players.

It was just one of those days in which they couldn't find the back of the net, even though they had several chances to do in both halves. Sophie Slater scored Town's only goal of the game, and also claimed the Player of the Match award for her hard work and efforts.

Team: Scanlan, O’Neill, S.Slater, E.Slater, C.Parkinson, E.Parkinson, Hunter, Cardwell, Carmichael, Crawshaw, Duffy, Brown, Daniel.

Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies Reserves 0-0 Colne FC Ladies

(Town won 5-4 on pens to reach Quarter Finals of LFA County Senior Cup)

After being crowned League Champions on Thursday at Poolfoot Farm (Read the report HERE), the Ladies had to get straight back down to business as they travelled away to take on Colne in the Second Round of the LFA County Senior Cup.

It was a battle from start to finish as both teams came out and gave it absolutely everything they had. The Ladies created and played some great football, but after a goalless 90 minutes, it went straight to penalties.

The Ladies were victorious in taking the win with a 5-4 win on penalties, with penalty takers Emily Brandes, Lydia Wright, Louise Allan, Ruby Farrell & Louise Latham stepping up first, with Shannon Frankle called open to bury the sixth penalty. A shoutout to Sarah Cook who made crucial saves to seal the win.

Both Ruby Farrell & Caz Wilcock were the standout players on Sunday.

Team: Cook, Wilcock, Spencer, Richmond, Allan, Frankle, Aitken, Hodkin, Brandes, McCarthy, Wright, Farrell, Latham, Hardman.

Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies Development Squad 0-5 Penrith AFC

The Development Squad welcomed Penrith AFC to Thornton Cleveleys on Sunday in the LFA County League Senior Cup. The Ladies fought hard to dig in and get something from the game. They worked tirelessly across the pitch, creating very good opportunities throughout the clash, but unfortunately it was just one of those days where Penrith struck gold with every shot they took.

Demi Parker was named the Player of the Match for the Development Squad.

Team: McLaren, Hague, Parker, Jones, Crook, Fryer, Cattle, Brook, O’Neill, Ramsbottom, Baines, Stenton, Holden.
