Fleetwood Town can confirm the club will be facing sister club Waterford FC in pre-season friendly at the RSC on Tuesday 4 July 2023, with a kick-off time to be announced.
This will be the first time the two clubs will face each other since chairman Andy Pilley bought the Blues back in August 2022.
In what will be a historic moment for the Fleetwood Football Group, this fixture will be one not to miss out on, and for supporters who come on the official supporters' trip, they will get a ticket to the match as part of their travel package - information coming soon.
With Waterford FC being in the middle of their League of Ireland First Division campaign, and picking up two wins in their last two fixtures, it will be a good test for the Cod Army as they will be looking to get valuable minutes in their legs ahead of the Sky Bet League One campaign.
With three Town players in the ranks at Waterford FC, Barry Baggley, Chris Conn-Clarke and Tom Donaghy will come up against their parent club in the fixture if selected by new head coach, Keith Long.
Ticket details will be announced in due course, alongside details on the supporters' trip.
