Hundreds turnout to fans initiative at Poolfoot Farm

Hundreds of Fleetwood Town fans attended the Fleetwood Town Official Supporters Club's first ever Smile and Sign event, with many meeting their favourite players close-up at the training complex in Thornton.

Supporters travelled up and down the country to meet the first team squad ahead of their trip to face Accrington Stanley on Saturday and collected all the players' autographs on a specially designed sheet, as well as taking a selfie or two with the lads and the gaffer.

In the event at Poolfoot Farm, the Official Supporters Club were on-site to hand out the signature paper, with the players' faces on so those in attendance could get them signed and keep them for memories. It was great to see so many smiles on the children's faces as well as the adults who turned up to see their heroes.

There were so many positive comments on social media after the event, with Gemma Louise on Facebook saying: "This has made my daughter's day amazing!" and Naomi Parker commenting "My two daughters came to the event and loved it!"

On Twitter, fan Sam Turner posted: "Lovely afternoon meeting the Fleetwood Town players with my little boy, he loved it. Massive thank you to FTOSC for organising it."

The Club and the Official Supporters Club would like to thank all those who came to Poolfoot Farm on Thursday afternoon. It was fantastic to see so many of you in attendance and we can't wait to get together again in the near future.

We'd also like to thank Club Partners Hesketh Press for sponsoring the event and for providing us with the signing sheets.
