Report: Under-18s lose out to Bolton in the Youth Alliance Cup

Fleetwood Town's Under-18s narrowly lost out to Bolton Wanderers 1-0 in the Youth Alliance Cup match at Poolfoot Farm.

The match - which was played on Saturday 3 September at Fleetwood's training complex - didn't see many chances throughout the 90 minutes, however the one big chance fell to the visitors, who scored the only goal of the tie in the 71st minute.

Matt Lawlor's side pushed and pushed for a late equaliser in the last 20 minutes of the match, but couldn't get the ball over the line to level the scores before the final whistle.

The Under-18s now have a week on the training pitch ahead of next Saturday's Youth Alliance League match against Wanderers.
