Fleetwood Town Community Trust are working alongside Planet League to help use football to get people to take action on climate change.

Planet League run a series of competitions each year where fans represent their clubs in weekly fixtures against other clubs around the country. Fans score goals by completing activities which reduce their environmental footprint. The club with the most points in a season wins the Planet League Trophy.

As well as running competitions, Planet League provide a place where fans can learn about sustainable living and see what footballers and clubs are doing on sustainability.

Planet league work with football clubs and their club community organisations to help them on their journey to more sustainable operations. Their focus is on fan engagement. They believe that the biggest positive impact a club can have on the environment is through helping their fans along the journey to living more sustainably.

Ahead of Fleetwood Town's Sky Bet League One fixture against Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday 25 October, members of Fleetwood's Community Trust will be on hand to educate supporters on the campaign, and to give fans more of an insight into how to get involved.
