Fleetwood Town will pay respects to all those who have lost their lives in conflict at the club’s annual Remembrance fixture, taking place at Highbury Stadium on Saturday.

The fixture on Saturday will be our First Round clash in this year’s Emirates FA Cup and we are advising all supporters to be in their seats by 2:45pm to join in the commemorations ahead of kick-off (3pm).

Veterans, Cadets, and other volunteers will be selling poppies and other official merchandise at the stadium, with all proceeds going directly to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. Some of the volunteers will have a contactless terminal for donations, but cash is also welcome.

Activities include Stadium Announcer Rod Allsworth reading the Ode to Remembrance, our Chairman Andy Pilley laying a wreath on the pitch, and a bugler is also set to play the Last Post, prior to a minute’s silence.

The players in red will be wearing special armbands with poppies on them as part of the afternoon’s Remembrance activities, with the same armbands set to be worn at the next Sky Bet League One against Bristol Rovers next week.
