FTIFA UK has seen enormous success in its latest program block since kicking off in July this year, and with just 6 weeks remaining until the final date, the programme is keen to look forward as well as back.
The new squad of players will arrive in early January 2023 to take part in the ‘Pro Experience’ programme at Poolfoot Farm, the home of Fleetwood Town’s training ground.
FTIFA Manager, Mick Horsfall said on recent success: “We have seen record numbers join the program over the last 6 months, with over 65 players from across every corner of the globe looking to progress in the footballing journey.
“January will see further arrivals from across Australia, USA and beyond. The quality of our environment and coaching delivery is part of the success as to why we have been so popular with aspiring footballers wanting to come and challenge themselves.”
The Pro Experience enables players from ages 16 and above to be trained full-time within the same footballing syllabus as other areas of Fleetwood Town.
Players train daily, with support from all areas of the club staff. Multi-disciplinary staff work on, and off the field, combined with the world class facilities give all squad members the chance to progress towards the best version of themselves.
The dream for those who come across is to be handed a professional contract within the group of clubs that Fleetwood Town oversees.
Mick added: “We are always searching for a player who has the potential to make it as a pro. We have a great track record of youth development across the club which then offers opportunities for them to play in the professional environment.
“Our network of Clubs across the globe means we are now brilliantly placed to ensure that no matter the nationality of a player who joins FTIFA, we can offer a pathway into professional football.”
FTIFA UK’s success stories have seen players signed professionally at the Club in Dubai at Fleetwood United. Other players have been measured against UK professionals and signposted towards our links in Ireland. Several players have received substantial scholarships in US Colleges to play and study in America.
