Several Fleetwood Town players were in action out on loan in the last week with some making their debuts, and others putting in man-of-the-match performances – here’s how they all got on.

The name to mention is Chris Conn-Clarke, who is currently at Altrincham. He was named in their starting line-up against Eastleigh over the weekend and played a crucial part in helping Elliot Newby open the scoring on the day. He was subbed off in the 83rd minute, but that wasn’t to do with his performance, as coaches deemed him outstanding throughout the clash.

A name not normally linked to these loan watch reports in the past is Alex Cairns, who joined League Two side Hartlepool United on an emergency loan on Saturday and was thrown straight into their Emirates FA Cup clash against Harrogate Town. He pulled off some key saves in the game and helped them secure a spot in the next round after their 3-1 win at the Suit Direct Stadium.

Both Tom Hoyle and Jake Wallace were in action for Colne as they travelled to the midlands to face Leek Town in their latest league clash, which ended in a narrow 1-0 loss at Harrison Park. Hoyle started the game, whereas Wallace made an appearance from the bench with 21 minutes to go, replacing Oliver Roberts at the time.

It’s been a quiet week for Dylan Boyle and Spennymoor Town after their 3-2 win over Runcorn Linnets in the FA Trophy last week – the coaches and players are all waiting for their next National League fixture, which is set to take place away from home against Brackley Town on Saturday afternoon at 12:30pm.

Other mentions are Luc Rees, who was named on the bench for Widnes in their 2-1 loss to Kidsgrove Athletic at the weekend, and Will Russ who was at South Shields, but has returned to the club and re-joined our Development Squad at Poolfoot Farm.
