All three of the Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies teams were in action at the weekend and here is a round-up of how they did in their respected fixtures.

First-team

Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies 0-3 Tranmere Rovers Girls & Ladies

In the final game of the season for the Wrens Ladies, they hosted Tranmere Rovers at Poolfoot Farm and it certainly wasn’t the way they wanted to end the season. It was a good performance from the away side as they managed to put three past the Cods on a tough afternoon, but it was a good run-out and one to take into the upcoming season.

Reserves

Bolton Wanderers Girls FC Women 5-2 Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies Reserves

As the season also drew to a close for our Reserves, they had one last clash to tend with and it was against Bolton away from home. It was a hard-fought game from start to finish with both sides showing quality on the ball, but the Trotters came out on top, even after goals from Louise Stritch and Carmel Daniel.

Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies Development Squad 4-3 Euxton Girls Under-18s Development

It was a battle for our Development Squad on Sunday afternoon in what ended as a seven-goal thriller between Town and Euxton. Gemma Newson netted a hat-trick for Fleetwood, with Kate Horton scoring the other in a testing game, with great spells of football played by both sides and a well-deserved three points.
