The club hosted a special event last week at Highbury Stadium as the Fleetwood Town Juniors Under-18s side, who have been together for the last 13 years, played their last game as a team.

The group of players first joined up in the Under-7s and have stuck together until the very end of their journey, with most of the original players featuring in every age group along the way.

As they arrived at Highbury, it was a one-off special friendly against local side Squires Gate on the cards which saw all the players for the side get minutes and have a chance to bow out in style.

Not only was it a special day for them, but they also decided to make it a charity match at the same time, raising money for Holly’s memorial garden at Cardinal Allen High School, with the team collecting £212 on the night. If you would like to donate to the cause, click the link HERE.

On the night, a coach from the side, Andy Smart, had this to say about the hospitality shown: “I cannot thank everyone at Fleetwood enough – simple as that! Everyone put on a really special and memorable event which the players will remember for the rest of their lives.”

Here are the players who featured for Fleetwood Town Juniors: Steven McGuirk, John Greene, Corey Campbell, Joe McDowall, Tom Mercy, Ryan Lucas, Jordan Beavers, Harry Smart, Liam Hewitt, Bailey Stirzaker, Jadyn Walsh, Josh Wright, Lewis Barnes, Nathan Simey, Jay Fitzgerald, Jordan Cunningham, Charlie Gellalty, Charlie Errington, and Brad Evans.
