Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce Alex Cairns has been named the club’s PFA Community Player of the Year for the 2021/22 season.
Alex has been presented the award by Fleetwood Town’s Community Trust following his outstanding work within the local community over the past season.
Town’s number one has played a leading role in community visits within schools, as well as going the extra mile with younger supporters who have visited him at the club’s ground and training complex.
Mike Tallentire, School Sport Educator at Fleetwood Town Community Trust said: “Alex is an inspiration to all members of the community that come into contact with him.
“He always goes the extra mile, carrying out his community duties with care, diligence, and passion. In particular, his dedication to promoting inclusion and health programmes have touched the lives of many young people in the local area.”
