For this week’s throwback feature, we are going back seven seasons to when Fleetwood Town recorded a 4-0 win over this Saturday’s opposition, Burton Albion, at Highbury Stadium.

It was a spectacular performance from everyone involved on the day to ensure the first win in charge for then-manager Steven Pressley and it was one for the Cod Army to remember.

With Northern Irish international Conor McLaughlin returned to the lineup after being away with his national team, Jamie Proctor opened the scoring before the break, and Bobby Grant shortly followed it up with a brilliant brace in the second half.

Ashley Hunter, who came off the bench on the day, rounded matters off late on against his former club as Town scored four great goals and recorded a clean sheet in the process.

Town XI: Maxwell (GK), McLaughlin, Jonsson, Bell, Ryan, Proctor, Grant (Matt 78’), Sarcevic (Sowerby 84’), Haughton (Hunter 70’), Wood, Teixeira.
