Fleetwood Town's Under-18s fell short on the trip to face Rochdale as the Youth Alliance fixture ended in a 3-1 defeat at Bower Fold on Saturday.
The young Cods started out the game in a brilliant fashion as they managed to take the lead 10 minutes into the clash as Dominic Richmond carried on his rich vein of form, netting for the second game in a row.
A quickfire brace from the hosts, on the other hand, flipped the clash on its head as they equalised and then took the lead around the half-hour mark. They added a third 15 minutes before the end which finished of the league fixture.
