Five of Fleetwood Town’s young players were on show for their respected loan sides in the last week, with one of them getting a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win – here’s how they got on.

Connor Teale (Curzon Ashton – National League North)

This young Cod has been in the thick of it at Curzon Ashton once again since our last loan report as he’s featured in a further two games for the side from Greater Manchester. He started in the away clash against Telford United last Tuesday, which ended in a 2-1 loss. Teale performed well throughout the game but was subbed off just after the hour mark for Curran.

In their next game, which was against Gloucester City on Saturday afternoon, Teale was named in the starting eleven once again for the game at The Tameside Stadium. He played the whole 90 minutes in the league game, but it ended in a narrow 2-1 loss on the day.

Next game: Bradford Park Avenue (A – Saturday 12 March)

Akiel Raffie (Nantwich Town  - Northern Premier League Premier Division)

It was the Cheshire derby for Akiel on Tuesday last week as Nantwich hosted Witton Albion in a Northern Premier League tie which ended 1-0 to the Dabbers. Raffie and boys in green powered their way through the occasion, with Dan Cockerline netting the decisive goal in the game.

It wasn’t long until the midfielder was back on the pitch for Nantwich as they played host to Witton Albion at the weekend, with Raffie starting the game with the number seven on his back. He caused trouble from the start, winning fouls, and almost finding the opening goal 15 minutes in. Before he was subbed off in the 76th minute, it was Joel Blair that scored to secure all three points.

Next game: FC United of Manchester (H – Saturday 12 March)

Max McMillan (Radcliffe – Northern Premier League Premier Division)

It’s been a good week for Max out on loan at Radcliffe as he’s opened his account for the side, bagging a goal and an assist in their last outing, which was a home game against Basford United. He started the clash, alongside former-Cod Bobby Grant once again, who scored the first goal of the afternoon.

McMillan’s goal was next as Jack Baxter’s shot from range was pushed into the path of the forward, who slotted his effort past Kieran Preston into the bottom corner. He then turned provider for substitute Luca Navarro ten minutes before the end as he rolled the ball into his path before slotting it home. He was then subbed off in the 87th minute for Callum Gribbin.

Next game: Buxton (A – Saturday 12 March)

Danny Edwards (Colne – Northern Premier League Division One West)

The young midfielder has been in action once since the last report as he started in Colne’s home league fixture against Prescot Cables. Former-Cod Sam O’Halleron opened the scoring in this one for the away side after just 60 seconds, but Edwards was a stand-out player for the team in red, even though they conceded a second 20 minutes from the end to put the tie to bed.

Next game: Widnes (H – Tuesday 8 March)

Donte Thompson-Prempeh (Kendal Town – Northern Premier League Division One West)

After making his debut for the Mintcakes last time out against Clitheroe, he was named in the starting XI for their latest outing which was a home clash against Warrington Rylands. Kane Drummond and Richard Smith both found the back of the net for the away side, either side of Darren Nightingale replacing Donte – which took place in the 64th minute.

Next game: Mossley (H – Saturday 12 March)
