The English Football League (EFL) has today announced a new partnership with national builders’ merchant, Jewson, which will engage and support Clubs, fans, and communities across the EFL network.
As an official EFL Supporter, Jewson will have a strong presence across the Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two, along with the EFL’s showpiece Wembley finals including the Carabao Cup, Papa John’s Trophy and the Sky Bet Play-Off Finals. Additionally, the brand will have a presence on the EFL website, social media channels and platforms such as iFollow, the EFL’s award-winning streaming service.
Taking a multi-channel approach, the partnership will offer a number of exclusive experiences across the EFL for football fans engaging with Jewson both online and offline.
With 500 Jewson branches situated across the country, many are located close to one of the EFL’s 72 Clubs across England and Wales.
The EFL and Jewson have a shared commitment to supporting their local communities. In parallel to the partnership, the national builders’ merchant will launch a girls’ grassroots football initiative delivering 72 sponsored football kits to girls’ football clubs throughout the UK.
Gareth Drew, Jewson Marketing Director, said: “We will be launching a programme of events and incentives to bring our customers and colleagues closer to the action. We know that football is a diverse sport and extremely popular amongst our customers, therefore this partnership is a great fit for our business and will certainly strengthen the Jewson brand.
“This is a landmark national deal for Jewson, and we have already had a lot of customers and colleagues commenting on how great it has been to see the brand supporting Clubs across the English pyramid.
Andrew Cushing, Jewson Customer Director, added: “As we continue to deliver our purpose to give builders and tradespeople everything they need to build more sustainably and more profitably, this partnership will help us reach new customers, as well as build on the all-important relationships with those customers we know well.”
EFL Chief Commercial Officer, Ben Wright commented: “The partnership demonstrates the EFL’s ability to offer local activation on a national scale with almost all our 72 EFL Clubs in close proximity to a Jewson business. Jewson is planning some great initiatives to bring the partnership to life and build engagement between customers, staff, and the Clubs.
“Jewson is a huge name in the building supplies sector and is a brand that has a reputation for launching innovative schemes to engage the communities around the branches.”
