Local lads walk between nine North West clubs to raise money for Lancashire Mind

22 March 2022

Two individuals set off on a walk around the North West in order to help raise funds for Lancashire Mind, starting at Morecambe on Monday and will travel to eight other clubs over five days.

Both Dave Ormond and Ash Hails are trekking all around the North on their charitable walk. They visited our stadium, Highbury, on Monday afternoon after arriving at Morecambe, with Blackpool coming first on Tuesday. Clubs from the Premier League to League One are included in this and we hope that everyone can get behind them for this great cause.

Lancashire Mind’s vision is Mental Wellbeing for All and they won’t stop until everyone in Lancashire can achieve good mental health and well-being, people living with a mental health condition get the right support when needed and people aren’t different because of their mental health.

Dave and Ash’s planned walk: Morecambe & Fleetwood Town (Monday 21 March), Blackpool & Preston North End (Tuesday 22 March), Wigan Athletic (Wednesday 23 March), Bolton Wanderers & Blackburn Rovers (Thursday 24 March), Accrington Stanley & Burnley (Friday 25 March).

If you would like to support the cause, you can donate on their JustGiving page here. Alternately, you can find out more about Lancashire Mind on their website here, or you can follow them on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date on what they are up to!

Great work lads, good luck!
