Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce attacking midfielder Josh Vela has reached an agreement to sign upon the end of his contract with Shrewsbury Town, making him the club’s second signing of the summer.
The 28-year-old arrives boasting plenty of Sky Bet League One experience from his time at Bolton Wanderers, where he featured in 160 games, and his latest club in Shrewsbury Town, where he added another 84 appearances to his tally.
During his time at the Shrews, he won multiple personal awards as he was named both the Fans’ Player of the Year as well as the Player’s Player of the Year for his contributions during the 2020/21 season.
