Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the third signing of the summer as goalkeeper Jay Lynch on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old, who is from the North West, is an experienced shot-stopper as he has managed to pick up over 200 appearances throughout his career, with the majority of those coming during his time at Salford City, AFC Fylde, and – most recently – Rochdale.

After starting his career at Bolton Wanderers, he made the move to non-league football with the Ammies and, after helping them to two consecutive promotions – with the side just missing out on a third in the play-offs, he then headed to the coast to join Fylde.

Whilst there, he picked up the National League Goalkeeper of the Year award and even made an appearance at Wembley in the 2019 National League play-off final before moving back into the football league with Rochdale.

Welcome to the Cods, Jay!
