Fleetwood Town are over the moon for midfielder Paddy Lane who received his first ever competitive cap for Northern Ireland as he started in their Nations League clash against Greece.
The time with the national team for Lane has gone from good to better since initially playing for the Under-21 setup a year ago as he now has eight appearances to his name across two age groups, with the latest coming today against Greece.
The game at the home of Northern Irish football, Windsor Park, saw the young Cod be named in the starting lineup alongside the likes of Stephen Davis and Jonny Evans, with the game ending in a narrow 1-0 loss.
We would like to congratulate Paddy on the achievement and hope that he's picked once again when the national team travels to Cyprus for the second game of their Nations League quadruple-header on Sunday 5 June (5pm kick-off UK time).
