Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce Carl Johnston has signed a new long-term contract, which will see him stay until the summer of 2025, with the club holding an option for a further year.
Johnston – who became a constant figure in the first-team setup last season – has now earned an extended deal with the club and will now look to add to the 20 first-team appearances he’s already made.
The 20-year-old also has international experience to his name as he has featured for his native Northern Ireland at three different age groups – Under-17s, Under-19s, and Under-21s – with the senior team firmly in his sights for the future, much like Paddy Lane who has now made three senior appearances for the national side.
On the new deal, Carl said: “I’m glad to get this deal over the line; I’ve enjoyed my time at Fleetwood Town so far since coming in as a young lad in the Under-18s and now just want to look forwards and get going once we are back in for pre-season.”
Congrats on the contract, Carl!
