Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce experienced defender Danny Andrew has agreed a new two-year deal, with the club holding an option for a further year.
Andrew is one of the fan favourites at Highbury, having been at the club for several years now, and has agreed a new deal after not only making 43 appearances in all competitions last season but also netting six goals from full-back in that time as well.
The 31-year-old has been steadily rising up the all-time EFL appearance chart for the Cods since starting his second spell at the club in June 2019 and now sits in 8th position in the rankings, with 156 to his name and 135 of those coming in the league.
On the new deal, Andrew said: “I’m delighted to have extended my stay here at Fleetwood, I’ve been here a long time and, with the new manager, will hopefully have a good season.
“It’s an exciting summer with the arrival of the new manager and we are looking forward to having a fresh start at the club. I can’t wait to get back and see all the lads when we all get ahead of pre-season and then once again be reunited with the fans when the game schedule starts up again!”
