Under-10s train at Aston Villa complex with Josh Feeney

Fleetwood Town's Under-10s had a brilliant experience on Sunday as they travelled down to the Midlands to play at Aston Villa's training complex with former graduate Josh Feeney.

Feeney, who is still only 16-years-old, came through the Academy at Fleetwood and certainly impressed during his time on the Fylde Coast, progressing all the way up to the first-team at such a young age.

He became one of the hottest young properties outside of the Premier League last season with his incredible development in Town’s Under-18s and Under-23s.

The centre-back featured on the bench for the first team on three occasions at the age of just 15 before receiving international honours with a call-up to England in April.

This all pushed him on to his next move which was to Premier League side Aston Villa, where he has featured on the bench multiple times since his arrival in the summer.

As our Academy says, develop the person and challenge the player. Josh knows this and was brilliant with our young Cods as they travelled down to see him. It's great to see the values he learned at Fleetwood are still being showcased in the Premier League.

Thanks for hosting, Josh, and all the best!
