As our Throwback Thursday feature this week, we thought we’d look back at the time Fleetwood Town visited Fratton Park on what would end up being the final game of the 2019/20 season ahead of our play-off campaign.

The Cods carried on their impeccable unbeaten run in the league with a draw on the day, with the game finishing 2-2, after an eventful 90 minutes of action at both ends of the pitch.

The Cod Army were excellent throughout and lead after 19 minutes through Barrie McKay before Sean Raggett levelled for Pompey to see the scores level at the break.

Harry Souttar sliced into his own net three minutes into the second period, before nodding his side level just seven minutes later. Clear-cut chances were at a premium with the scores level for a second time, with Town climbing to fifth in Sky Bet League One.

Town XI: Cairns, Coyle, Andrew (Burns 54’), Connolly, Souttar, Evans, J.Morris (Madden 75’), Whelan, Gibson, McKay, Sowerby (Coutts 69’).
