Business Club to take part in charity match raising money for Diabetes Research

Fleetwood Town’s Business Club are set to take on Team Kickabout at Poolfoot Farm on Sunday 11 December (6pm K/O) to raise money for Diabetes Research.

FTFC Business Club are taking part in a charity match at Poolfoot Farm on Sunday 11 December at 6pm to raise money for Paul Caddis’ GoFundMe.

Paul Caddis is a Scottish football coach and former professional footballer, who played for Birmingham City and Celtic back in the day. He joined Fleetwood Town in 2021 as an Academy Coach and now looks after the Club's FTIFA programme.

Paul’s 10-year-old daughter, Summer, was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) in October 2022. DKA develops when your body doesn’t have enough insulin to allow blood sugar into your cells for use as energy. It is most common among people with Type 1 diabetes and can be life-threatening.

There is currently no known cure for Type 1 diabetes, so Paul’s GoFundMe page is helping to raise money for research into new treatments to prevent and cure the condition.

We encourage everyone to come down to Poolfoot Farm this Sunday to watch a brilliant game of football and help raise money for diabetes research.
