FTIFA are excited to be launching a Football Development and Education Programme in the heart of the capital this coming year.
The recruitment network is well and truly cast wide open with the development of this partnership, and it's one that all those at FTIFA are exciting to be part of.
FTIFA Programme Manager, Mick Horsfall said: “The opportunity to work with a likeminded organisation at Sports Group International (SGI), who are keen to offer players a good education with a focus on them continuing their footballing development with ambitions to get back into professional football was something the team felt we couldn’t ignore.
“We will support the programme with our professional scouts and coaches, giving players the opportunity to be fast tracked into Fleetwood Town and hopefully into our professional squads if they are good enough.
“The relationship will have a great chance to succeed with the quality of the facilities and training environment being used for the programme.”
SGI will operate a full-time football academy at the London campus, Kings House Sports Ground. The venue has easy transportation from Heathrow Airport and is on the mainline train stations. The venue will boast a state-of-the-art 3G pitch, 9-acre grass pitches and classrooms where we will base the football programme.
The FTIFA LDN programme manager Jamie Strong added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Fleetwood Town FC and Fleetwood Town International Football Academy.
“They have an excellent football provision and a shared ethos in developing young people on and off the pitch. This initiative gives talented players across the South East, many with experience within an Academy system, a second chance.
“The programme is based on the club’s philosophy and practices; with an active and educational balance, that will provide excellent opportunities for local players and coaches in London and the surrounding areas.
“We are looking forward to developing and supporting players to progress through the Fleetwood Town Football Club pathway.”
If you are keen in joining our programme and keen to trial for the initial squads in September, please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org – we look forward to hearing from you.
