The Wrens Ladies locked horns in what was a tough fixture from start to end against Darwen at home, in which both sides had good spells on the ball, with the Wrens having to dig deep to keep hold of their lead late on after brilliant goals from Emily Jones and Georgia Payton.

Another top result for the Reserves at the weekend saw them reach 17 goals in just two games, after their 9-0 win over Penrith in midweek. There’s not much more to say than they performed brilliantly from the off with Carmel Daniel bagging five during the game. Ellie McNally also secured a brace with Isla Thiedeman and Lydia Wright grabbing one apiece.
