Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce midfielder Paddy Lane has been named Sky Bet League One Young Player of the Season.
The Northern Ireland international – who joined the club from Hyde United in the summer of 2021 – has been a regular in the side so far this season, amassing 39 appearances and in that time, scoring five and assisting a further eight.
This run of form hasn’t gone unnoticed as he has been nominated into the Team of the Week multiple times by the league body, and The League Paper, and was even named in the best Under-21 EFL XI back in February.
Lane, who now adds another award to add his many accolades this season, was up against Portsmouth’s shot-stopper Gavin Bazunu, and Dan Neil of Sunderland.
