Fleetwood Town International Football Academy (FTIFA) is delighted to announce a partnership with JA Resorts and Hotels in Dubai.
The world-famous brand will host all of Fleetwood United and Fleetwood International Football Academy’s programmes in the Dubai area from the start of next season - providing the brand-new Pathway to Pro scheme with world-class facilities and accommodation.
A legacy UAE brand, JA Resorts & Hotels was born in 1981 and has a widely recognised reputation for excellence, in the management and operation of award-winning resorts and hotels. Taking its name from the original Jebel Ali (JA) Beach hotel, JA Resorts & Hotels portfolio now features eight. distinct properties across the UAE and the Indian Ocean, each dedicated to curating unique experiences and creating unforgettable memories.
Our brand new and exciting Pathway to Pro scheme allows players to train, eat and live like full-time professional footballers - with the best being registered for our UAE FA league club Fleetwood United FC.
With four and six-month programmes available, there are options for everyone - including the chance to spend a month training alongside the EFL League One side Fleetwood Town's professional players in England with the rest of the time spent living in a luxurious 4* hotel in global in the paradise which is Dubai.
The best players will also have the opportunity to play professionally for our club Fleetwood United FC which play in the Third Division of the UAE Football League as well as offering pathways to our other partner clubs around the globe.
Fleetwood Football Group are centred around Fleetwood Town Football Club (UK), an English League One professional football club, with a proven track record of sporting success and player development.
We also boast a global network of football clubs, including Fleetwood United FC (UAE Third Division) and Western Cape Fleetwood (Third Tier of South African football).
Our international Academy (FTIFA) works in more than 20 countries around the globe, providing players with pathways to professional football, and partners an exceptional and proven Elite Football Programme.
As a group, we have a track record of putting faith in player development and young players. Our UK based Fleetwood Town Football Club have a proven pathway of bringing young talent through our Premier League backed Academy programme. In the last two years alone we’ve seen 15 players progress into our first team, with three in the past year being sold onto the Premier League.
The FTIFA Pathway to Pro is split into two start dates and options:
THE STRUCTURE UK/UAE 6-MONTH PROGRAMME - (OCT-MARCH 2022)
- 4-week pre-season in the UK at Fleetwood Town's £10 million training complex, Poolfoot Farm, starting on Monday 3 October and ending on Friday 28 October. Players will get the opportunity to work with and alongside our professional coaching staff and junior professionals.
- Fly to Dubai (Included in the price) Players will arrive in Dubai to our partner accommodation (Saturday 29 October to Sunday 30 October).
- Five months full-time training and match model begins with our sister club Fleetwood United in Dubai. Assessment period continues (November to December) with players working towards being selected for the Fleetwood United first-team Squad in January 2023.
- Players will register with Fleetwood United FC, within the club's Under-23s or senior First-Team. (January-March).
- Pathway into pro football within Fleetwood United Group / Partner Club or Employment / Internship within the footballing industry (April Onwards).
- Players will arrive in Dubai to our partner accommodation (Tuesday 29 November to Wednesday 30 November).
- Four-month full-time training and match model begins with our sister club Fleetwood United in Dubai. Assessment period continues (November-December) with players working towards being selected for the Fleetwood United first-team Squad in January 2023.
- Players will register with Fleetwood United FC, within the club's Under-23s or senior first-team. (January-March).
- Pathway into pro football within Fleetwood United Group/Partner Club or Employment/Internship within the footballing industry (April Onwards).
