Two of the Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies teams were in action at the weekend and here is a round-up of how they did in their respected fixtures.

First Team

Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies 1-2 Cheadle Town Stingers

The first-team narrowly fell short in their league clash against Cheadle Town at Poolfoot Farm, even though it was a heavily contested game throughout. The Ladies created many chances from start to end, with Lauren Oatley finding the back of the net, but weren't able to come out on top as the visitors walked away with a 2-1 win.

Town squad: Ashton, Etheridge, Hunter, Hart, Gordon, Haydock, Jones, E.Slater, S.Slater, Oatley, Wilcock, Lord, Boswell, Parkinson, Payton.

Player of the Match: Holly Hunter.

Reserves

Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies Reserves 3-1 AFC Darwen Ladies Reserves

The Reserves continued their brilliant start to the season on Sunday as they hosted AFC Darwen at School Road and came away with a comfortable 3-1 win. Carmel Daniel, Isla Thiedeman, and Caz Wilcock all managed to find a way past the Darwen goalkeeper on the day as they topped off a great display from the entire team.

Town squad: Leece, McNally, Ramsbottom, Richmond, Frankle, Wilcock, Allan, Duffy, Wright, Broom, Daniel, O'Brien, Atkin, Thiedeman.

Player of the Match: Charlotte Leece.
