Fleetwood Town can confirm the signing of two brand new Captain Cods as part of a link-up with Affinity Lancashire.

With the old captain heading back out to sea, a new school of fish came up to the docks and embarked on their trip to Fleetwood Town’s stadium on Park Avenue.

On the way to the ground, they stopped off at our partners Affinity Lancashire – who are sponsoring their shirts – and had a stroll around the shopping centre, taking in all that it has to offer including the marina walk.

The two Cods are set to make their debuts when Simon Grayson’s side host The Black Cats on Saturday and we hope all the Cod Army are there to welcome them! They will be attending every home game this season and can’t wait to meet their Army!

They’ve arrived as part of a partnership with Affinity, and centre manager Stewart Shepherd said:  “We are really pleased to have been given the opportunity to sponsor the new Fleetwood Town club mascots over the next few seasons.

"There are so many great things happening in the town of Fleetwood, with both the football club and the Affinity Lancashire centre represent two great examples of this.

"We see this as just the start of our collaboration with the club as we look to reach out to the community of Fleetwood and surrounding areas which Fleetwood Town have such a strong impact on.

"Affinity is a huge part of the community here in Fleetwood attracting people to the town, and we want to ensure that we work with the community to celebrate what is great beyond the boundary of the outlet and use our brand and space to promote our great town.”

Affinity Lancashire provides visitors with a great place to Shop, Eat, and Relax. With more than 40 brands to choose from and savings of up to 60% on high street pricing.

Affinity have recently welcomed two new stores to the centre, Leading Labels and Saltrock. In addition to this there are some exciting new retailers coming to the site over the next year giving you even more choice when you visit us. This includes the ‘The CoffeeBox’ café and bistro which will open in the Autumn.
