Fleetwood Town have had four players called up to Northern Ireland’s Under-21 setup, where they will be playing two UEFA U21 Euro qualifiers against Russia and Spain, with one more on standby.

Paddy Lane – who has featured in the last four first-team games for Fleetwood – will be joined by recent debutant Chris Conn-Clarke, Barry Baggley, and Carl Johnston, with Dylan Boyle on stand by for the national side.

The group of players will head off to Leicestershire on Sunday 3 October and will train until their flights to Russia on Wednesday 6 October and will play the nation’s Under-21s two days later.

After the game, they will travel to Sevilla where they will train and face Spain on Tuesday 12 October before heading back to the Fylde Coast to join back up with the Cods.

Great achievement for Barry, Chris, Carl, Dylan, and Paddy!
