Goalkeeper Tom Donaghy was a standout performer at the weekend whilst on loan at Farsley Celtic and was named in the Non-League Team of the Day for clean sheet against Brackley Town.
Their league clash ended in a goalless draw, with Tom making crucial saves throughout the game, earning his side a point at The Citadel on Saturday. His showing was enough to be named Man of the Match and be named as the best Non-League goalkeeper on the day.
He wasn’t the only player in action on loan at the weekend as Cian Hayes continued his brilliant form whilst at FC United of Manchester in their 3-2 win over Gainsborough Trinity, with the social media channels stating that he ran rampant from start to end and caused ‘mayhem’ with the away side’s defence.
Akiel Raffie also managed 65 minutes in Bamber Bridge’s 2-1 win over Stafford Rangers and played alongside Academy coaches Nathan Pond and Mark Yeates at Marston Road. He did his job for the hour, with the side climbing to third in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
Keep up the good work, lads!
