Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce James Hill has become the first player from the club to be called up to the England Under-21s setup.

Hill, who recently surpassed 50 appearances for Town, has been on the last two England Under-20s camps and has managed to gain three caps for the Young Lions.

The 19-year-old made his debut for the national team’s youth side in a 6-1 win against Romania back in September, then was brought into the starting line-up for their clash against Italy a month later.

The defender impressed whilst away with the side as he was brought off the bench and given the captain's armband against Czech Republic a few days after, scoring the fifth goal in the 5-0 win on the night.

What an achievement, Hilly!
