Midfielder Callum Camps spoke to the press ahead of Fleetwood Town's trip to Montgomery Waters Meadow to face Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.

Camps – who scored his 11th goal of the season away at Lincoln on Tuesday - has impressed in his debut season with the Cod Army and after the win earlier on in the week is eager to build some momentum this weekend.

Here’s what Callum had to say in his pre-match press conference:

On Saturday’s game…

“The mood around the place has definitely changed, everyone is happy after our previous win and we just have to keep pushing now to make sure it’s not just one win, we want to make it a few more.

“It’s been a long time coming for me scoring again and it was getting me annoyed but the last few games I’ve tried to not concentrate on scoring, and I have concentrated on having a good game and funnily enough the game I don’t concentrate on scoring in I’ve scored, hopefully after that one now I can just get another and another for the end of the season.

“Shrewsbury have had a good few results since their new manager has come in, I played with one of their coaches last year so it will be good to see him. We played them earlier on in the season and beat them, but they were on a bad run then, they’re currently one of the form teams now so it’s going to be a tough battle.”

On personal objectives…

“I’m normally quite hard on myself and I’ll beat myself up about something if it isn’t going my way but the past few games, I’ve gone into them with a clear head, and then I’m hoping the team can play well and then everything else can take care of itself really.

“When things aren’t going your way, it feels like it takes ages and you start to overthink things but to get the goal the other day after good work from Dan Batty he’s played me in and I think all I needed was a split-second to take my chance to get back into the goals.

On learning under new management…

“It’s been good where people can see we have played well in most of our games, but results haven’t gone our way, but we have had two results against top teams in Doncaster and Lincoln.

“I have enjoyed his (Simon Grayson) time here so far and I think all the other lads have as well, with a new manager coming in he has got his system he wants to play so we all know we have to train and play well to get in the eye of the gaffer where that’s all you can do really, everyone’s taken to him really well.”
