Fleetwood Town can announce we will be starting the 2021/22 Sky Bet League One season with a home clash against Portsmouth, after the fixtures were announced on Thursday morning.
The Cods’ campaign begins on Saturday 7 August as Pompey travel to the Fylde Coast to take on Simon Grayson’s men, with an away clash against Lincoln City on Saturday 14 August.
Three new teams come up in the first month as Town are set to travel to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday 17 August, and then host Cheltenham Town that Saturday, before a trip to Plymouth Argyle finishes off August on the 28th.
On Boxing Day, Fleetwood Town will host Shrewsbury Town, before travelling to Sunderland on New Year’s Day.
The Easter programme sees Fleetwood face off against Oxford United on Good Friday and will then have a long trip to Gillingham on Easter Monday.
The final home game of the season is AFC Wimbledon on Saturday 23 April, with the final match of the season being at the University of Bolton Stadium on Saturday 30 April against Bolton Wanderers.
